Important information
IORA is an independent industry association initiative. It is not a Government of India portal and does not claim affiliation with or endorsement by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) or any other government authority.
1. About IORA and eligibility
The Indian Overseas Recruitment Association (IORA) is an independent industry association initiative intended to represent and support responsible overseas recruitment practices in India. The legal entity operating the association, its registered office and its formal constitution will be disclosed on this website once finalised. Until then, this website should be treated as an association information and application portal, not as evidence of incorporation or statutory recognition.
Membership applications are subject to eligibility checks, documentary verification and approval under the association's membership rules. Submitting an application or making a payment does not by itself create membership, confer voting rights or guarantee admission.
2. No government affiliation or licence verification
IORA is not a government department, regulator, licensing authority or statutory body. It does not issue recruiting-agent registrations, emigration clearances, visas or work permits. Any directory or compliance information is informational and must not be treated as a substitute for verification through official Government of India systems, including eMigrate.
3. Membership fees and payments
Any membership fee, event fee or other charge will be displayed before you are asked to pay. The checkout page will identify the service, applicable amount, currency, taxes (if any), payment reference and relevant cancellation or refund terms. Do not make a payment based solely on an unsolicited message or an account not identified on the official IORA website.
Payments are processed by the payment service provider selected by IORA. IORA does not store complete card numbers, CVV values, UPI PINs or net-banking credentials. A payment confirmation is not a membership approval; admission remains subject to the stated verification process.
Unless expressly stated at checkout, fees are one-time payments and are not recurring subscriptions. No automatic renewal will be charged without clear disclosure and your affirmative consent.
4. Applications, accuracy and member responsibilities
You must provide complete, current and accurate information and promptly update material changes. You must not submit forged registrations, misleading claims, unlawful recruitment advertisements or information belonging to another person without authority. Members must comply with applicable Indian law, their recruiting-agent obligations, the IORA code of conduct and any destination-country requirements.
5. Acceptable use and intellectual property
You may use the website for lawful informational, professional and association-related purposes. You must not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorised access, scrape or misuse personal data, upload malicious code, impersonate another person or reproduce IORA content commercially without written permission. Website text, branding, design and original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
6. Directory, scores and third-party information
Directory entries, self-assessments, member statements and indicative scores may be based on information supplied by users or publicly available sources. Unless a record expressly says otherwise and provides a verification date and basis, it is not a guarantee of licence status, service quality, legal compliance or future conduct. Users should independently verify all material information.
7. Limitation and changes
To the extent permitted by law, the website and its general information are provided on an as-available basis. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or wilful misconduct. IORA may update the website or these terms; material changes will be published here with a revised date.
8. Governing law and disputes
These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of India. Any dispute-resolution or court-jurisdiction provision will be finalised and published after IORA's legal entity and registered office are confirmed. You may first raise a concern through the Contact page.
