IORA policies
Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy applies to payments made on the IORA website for membership applications, approved membership services, event registrations, training programmes and other paid association services. The applicable terms will also be displayed before checkout.

Important information
IORA is an independent industry association initiative. It is not a Government of India portal and does not claim affiliation with or endorsement by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) or any other government authority.
1. Membership application payments
Submitting a membership application does not guarantee admission. If an application is declined by IORA after review, any membership fee collected for that application will be refunded in full, except for a deduction only where a specific, lawful, non-refundable third-party charge was clearly disclosed and accepted before payment. Application or processing charges, if any, must be separately identified at checkout.
2. Cancellation by the applicant or member
A cancellation request must be sent from the registered email address through the Contact page and should include the applicant or member name, payment reference and reason. Before a service has commenced or an event has taken place, IORA will review the request under the terms shown at checkout. Once membership benefits have been activated, a programme has commenced, or an event has been attended, fees may be non-refundable to the extent permitted by law and clearly disclosed before payment.
3. Event and training cancellations
If IORA cancels an event or training programme, the registrant may choose a full refund of the amount paid for that cancelled event or transfer to a rescheduled date, where offered. If the registrant cancels, the event-specific cancellation deadline and any applicable refund amount will be shown on the event checkout page before payment. If no event-specific terms are shown, contact IORA before assuming a booking is refundable.
4. Duplicate, failed or pending transactions
If your bank or payment app shows a debit but the IORA checkout does not confirm the payment, do not immediately pay again. Allow the payment provider and bank time to update the status, then contact IORA with the transaction reference. Confirmed duplicate payments will be refunded after reconciliation. A failed or reversed transaction for which IORA has not received funds is not eligible for a refund from IORA.
5. Refund processing
Approved refunds will ordinarily be initiated to the original payment method. The time taken for the amount to appear in your account depends on the payment gateway, issuing bank and payment network. IORA will provide a refund reference or status update where available. Any specific processing estimate shown at checkout will apply to that transaction.
6. How to request help
Contact IORA through the Contact page and provide your full name, registered email or phone, service or event, payment date, amount and transaction/order reference. Do not send card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs, passwords or OTPs. A request will be acknowledged through the contact channel supplied once IORA's official support details are published.
7. Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Indian law. Where a checkout-specific refund term conflicts with this general policy, the more specific term disclosed and accepted for that purchase will apply, subject to law.
